Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Someone tell me more about Sandy 10. Hilly? PB potential? Friendly?

HellsBells - have you listened to the pod cast? Fetch talks a bit about it in that. I have never run it but I understand it is a friendly club run event with a big up hill at the start.

It's a lovely race with a significant ( in length and distance hill) up at the start and also tricky on tired legs on the way back down.

Captain S, I don’t parkrun too often now as I cycle on a Saturday, so I will decide nearer the time.

You might like to add it in the Yorkshire group too fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=58554

HB - the hill is on one of my regular run routes - I hate it and struggle to run it all - but I've never tried to run it in a race. After that it's pretty much flat for 7-8 miles out and back - and then you run back down the hill (apart from a bit of an uphill lump) and flat back to the finish.

It is very friendly, we're lovely marshals :) - but I wouldn't run it as a PB attempt.

HB - it's a lovely race, and the t-shirt is usually pretty good fun. The marshals are all great - there's usually some sort of hat theme! Yes, you have to go up the hill, but it's very early, and you also get to run past a donkey sanctuary which is very cute.
