Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Oi FRU enough ugly talk! Even though I know what you mean - a parkrunner shared an extremely unflattering pic of me as RD on strava at the weekend and I nearly asked her to remove it.

Keeping to plan here: runs are still slow but I hope that spinning and weights will show benefits, as will consistency. I *know* this, I've been here before.

SarahWoo, I hope you can find some time to yourself and put yourself first amongst all the stressy and unpleasant stuff. We need to, sometimes.

Hello all and another reporting in after being Awol due to life, holidays and self sabotage.

Back from holiday late Saturday and today come down with the obligatory post holiday cold and feel pretty crap to be honest.

Weight is bad, but back on track with a special friend too šŸ˜. Was planning on running today but feel to poorly.

Have spent a lot of time on holiday assessing my life and am decluttering and making more time for me. I had my hair all cut off today (something I tend to do after my holiday most years).

Tomorrow will be a better day - I am training to be able to use ability bikes for the disabled tomorrow which will come in handy with my British Cycling event each month.

Have fun today, Moo!

I did run last night -2 miles - followed by a mile of walking. When I got home after that realised that I still hadnā€™t got to 10000 steps so walked round the block to hit the magic target ;)

Did well with food yesterday too. Had to use loads of willpower not to call into the shop for chocolate on the way home but I did it!

Back in the office today so a long day ahead without exercise. Hey ho!

Keep doing it, folks!

I'll quote myself yet again - and then I will quote my dear friend Northern but I will mess her's up and get some of the words wrong (she knows! LOL.. a bit like her surname - I've known her about 13 years and still cant get it right! :-) )

"I'll start on Monday" (me)
"Forever marching forwards" (That's not quite right is it Northern?!

Today I am chillin
Been up with the larks but used it to very good effect finishing painting the shed floor, building two flat pack bar stools, cramming all of the crap into the car including the kitchen worktop (brand new, lovely but what the hell we going to ever do with that?!) down to the tip and sat with all the other saddo early birds waiting for it to open! (NEVER done that ever)

Andrew is away in the north with his folks and his man friday's on his annual boys day out - so instead of being bored and grumpy I've been very busy

Monday coming up

Need to hit the re-set
Water has to be a massive feature
Being more honest about what I am eating and getting prepared - the last two weeks was a full on binge fest - it may be timed in with monthly or something - I haven't quite worked out where I am in all of that - however I need to crack down

Walking at lunch
Get the gym routine back

TICK! :-)

Went for an ace run with my Sis yesterday - she wouldnt let me make the excuses I make to myself so we did a nice 3.5miler and i didnt keel over!!!

Good running, FRU! I often think I should push myself harder when I run. Too easy to be too kind to myself.

I lost 2 lbs last week which wasn't bad considering my efforts to reduce my calorie intake were sporadic. I'm eating healthily most of the time and my biscuit/chocolate/sweet intake has dropped so I should keep making some progress.

I ran only once but did quite a lot of walking.
Will run again today (working at home) and hopefully, will be more motivated to run at the weekend than I was last week.
Not feeling terribly positive but keep battling on because I know I CAN do these things, even if I struggle with finding the motivation.

Funny - we've hit that "Lump" That you get to when your trying to change things and this side of the lump is quite "meh"

I do firmly believe that this is all in my hormonal mix and my fighting with it just adds a mental twist - if I ignore and carry on regardless that has to be good?

I made a decision today, I'm going to start concentrating just on my morning run and a swim... that's it!

Secondarily I need to get back to
- Water

- Walking at lunch

Drop the food stuff for now... I can keep that on an even keel if I don't concentrate too hard on it

2lb is good work SW

I was thinking about running this morning - I've started to feel a teeny itch.. to do my old routes. So i need to feed that - trickle the runs to be a bit further a couple of times a week... really hard as my body is still not having any of it! LOL!

I'm back at the gym this week - kicking in with me in the evenings - but I'm attacking still... slowly and carefully

Swimming I absolutely love it - can only do breastroke and heard that's not great on my knees.. however for calmness (I count the lap continually so it stops me thinking about "shite") and posture in the water it's amazing - I can stretch and really feel a big whooooossshhhh when I do the concentrated stroke & breathing - :-)

How are the rest of you all doing?

Yep. Nada lost here during September. But I said at the beginning that I'd try it and if it didn't work never mind. Fitness is more important to me at the moment. Horrendous run yesterday but back to the gym this morning for core & weights, and more running will happen tomorrow.

And water! FRU thank you for the reminder.
