Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Satisfying, isn't it MissC.

I didn't make it to parkrun or run 5k in the village. Instead, I signed up to The Body Project, did the fitness test this morning and the first workout this afternoon. The day has gone too quickly.

LOVE that you are all Canning! :-)

Forgive me being AWOL for two days - had a very busy blast of holiday shennanigans including CANS!

I am going to make the effort to set my goals daily as often as I can and report back on DIDS

I've done ok the last two days need to work on the water intake

Todays goal was

- 1 mile run
- a Swim
- 2litres of water

DID
- 1 mile run
- 27 open water swim (was beautiful)

- Almost hit the water target will bag in tonight

Tomorrows
- Walk with the family
- Run 2 miles
- Plan training diary for the rest of January - get a focus

I've to start eating "clean" - my aim is to start that from Wednesday this week and spend time over the next two days working out how to do that. Things like taking porridge with me to swims, otherwise I tend to eat rubbish stuff like processed biscuits and cake and chocolate. My sis got me a new flask which is going to be perfect - we'd already invented flask oats - make them in the flask with boiling water and honey and by the time you get out from swimming perfect to eat

Lunches are the hardest - I think as I am getting older I need less food... but that food I do eat needs to be good quality and easy to make. Grab food

Anyhow it made my heart go YEEEEEEYYYY Today when I came back to see 43 new posts!

So got this this year - CAN CAN CAN

A very happy new year to you all

x

The flask oats is a clever idea, FRU. Well done on your DIDs. Open water swimming at this time of year is brave.

Tomorrow I CAN:
-Follow BSD principles

-Do day 2 of TBP programme
-Go for a 1 mile run or walk

I'm trying to get the others in the swimgang onto it too as it's such a good fuel to get the blood pumping again

I forget about the swim stuff some days, because I go alot I forget what an amazing thing it is - the more you go the more you get from it - swimming has changed so much for me. Really positive esp in the menopause and lockdown

Everyone I know who does it speaks very positively about their experience. I'm in the process of gently persuading Mr GM that we should find places to go outdoor swimming when we are out and about in our campervan this year. I think it will help his mental health.

Still not sure if I’m in the right place!

I run alot more than most that’s not where the problem lies!

I’ve got a list as long as your arm of things that need doing though that I’ve been trying to get on top of so I’m going to hang around and see if it helps!

I hope that’s ok?
