Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Plastic glasses do take something away from a good bottle of wine, no doubt about it.

We just bought a relatively cheap set of plates and bowls etc from IKEA, just prefer it to plastic. Top tip: use squares of neoprene drawer liner to stop the plates rattling :-)

We have a mixture of old plastic being steadily replaced with nice quality enamel for plates/bowls etc. Pottery mugs for me and the kids, China for MrsC (cos she’s properly posh) and we all hate burning our lips on enamel mugs.

Electric toaster. Fiddled about for years with those gas-top folding racks and they are nothing like as good as they should be. I’d rather use a toasting fork. Or an electric toaster ;)

Proper teapot (and knitted cosy). Goes without saying, I think.

Sounds good Adrian, we've emailed a campsite in Portsoy to check availability for a couple of nights in April.
