We went to the show at the NEC on Friday, anyone else go?
Prices of new vans are eye watering! There were some innovative and different ideas that, with a lottery win, would be nice.
noted that there are some possible options for those who wanted a garage in a 6m van - but at a cost.

Anyway, Puriclean - I've just run some through the water system for the first time. Anyone else use it or similar? How often? I gather it should be every 6 months or so, but following the instructions uses an awful lot of water and I'd rather not do it much unless I have to.

We use a cleaner (not sure if it’s Puriclean) once a season but we never use the water from our van for drinking. We fill a three litre bottle direct from the pitch/site tap for drinking.

yeah, we don't drink the water - well not without boiling it anyway, but do use it for teeth

I went to the show on Saturday. I still can’t justify a cost to change of £50k when the motorhome is perfectly good enough and the only user of it is still me. Yes, for me as a solo traveler the campervan option might be more flexible, but it’s also quite a compromise in terms of space and comfort - and expensive!! The single biggest drawback of the motorhome is its size - otherwise it ticks all the important boxes.

Prices have shot up. We bought our camper van in Dec '21. It costs £20k more for the same spec now. I'm glad we changed vans when we did - we wouldn't entertain spending that much.

We were looking at motorhomes at the weekend and the prices are so high - £70k for what we would like. Not sure I would ever feel comfortable spending that much

I was parked next to a German Morelo m/h at the weekend. It cost over £300k. There were two others within 20 metres.

It seems that the bigger your rig, the more you carry with you. Generators, bikes and motorbikes, Dyson, huge deckchairs, barbecue...

Those monsters dwarf your reasonably sized van!

That's the size we would have liked but with Mr Moo being 6ft 3 it's just not going to work
