We're with Safeguard for insurance. No claims, so I can't speak for that aspect of it, but they were best price last time I checked them against a couple of other providers.

Safeguard here too. The inclusion of Europe-wide breakdown cover was a big plus.

Lots of them include European cover - which we won’t use at least for the first year plenty of touring to do here until Husband retires

That site looks lovely GM Insurance - I’m sure this was asked before, but does anyone have any recommendations/ avoid at all costs ? Ive got quotes from the CCC site and they all look reasonable, Brownhills’s are suggesting someone else Driveway is being extended next week, so all being well we can collect the van 10th/11th June - a little earlier than expected Call A plan Thatcham branch. They really understand modified vans and have great service. aplan.co.uk |

We also use A Plan for a modified T5, and specialist house insurance that we couldn’t get anywhere else.

Comfort insurance is a solid bet, we've been with them for years. Another vote for Comfort. As far as I was concerned they were the best value for money (not the cheapest) quote I got when I bought the van. The YoY increases have been very modest over 5 years and contrary to my normal practice I've only done a couple of market tests as a result but have found no reason to move. |

AdBlue question for those of you who are mechanically minded. (This relates to a T6.) I had the AdBlue topped up as part of the annual service in March and after this the display duly showed a 4000 mile range. A couple of weeks ago it changed to 3500 miles. All very much as expected. Yesterday, on a routine 90-mile trip (mostly motorway) the amber AdBlue warning light came on and the display changed dramatically to 650 miles. I have done less than 1,000 miles since the service and I cannot understand this sudden drop in forecast mileage. Presumably, unless there is a software or monitor problem, this reflects an unusually excessive consumption of AdBlue in a short period and over a short distance? I am not sure what to make of it and I assume my only course of action is to buy some more AdBlue and top it up? The other weird thing is that there is usually a "x to y litres" recommendation on the lower part of the display, advising how much to put in, and that isn't there at all now that the warning light is on! |

Silly question, but have you switched off and left for a while 😂 Ours tended to suddenly use more add blue after it had been in to vw for a service and update but still always gave us the gallons required to fill it up. |
