Great run Derby, I always get more excited on birds I manage to spot on my runs

Should be a good time in Norfolk KinkyS. Twill be chilly though! Running too?! Same number of Blackbirds again this morning along part of my run and seven Song Thrushes singing. Two Bullfinches and a couple of small groups of Goldfinch. Daffodils are blooming in south Cardiff near The Bay. And a Black Redstart in the City Centre. (I didn't see it). |

Yet to hear a song thrush but lots of blackbirds about on our brisk 20 minute dog walk this morning

Great spots all. Not a lot on our walk apart from hundreds of lapwings in flight making glorious shapes and generally making me smile.

We have breeding curlew and lapwing close to our village in spring time. Last night (in the Swan ) I volunteered to do some survey work with the environmental group attached to our village civic society. I was also reminded about Wharfedale Naturalists last night, who have regular meetings / lectures wharfedale-nats.org.uk |

Had a little run along the river in Tadcaster this morning. Without even trying I saw a kingfisher, a wren and a GC Grebe. Plus the usual blackbirds, chaffinches, a couple of different wagtails, plenty of corvids. Including some dead ones hanging from a bush, ugh.
