Nice little egret dt.
I saw 6 male black grouse yesterday on a short route I often run. I think I've seen them often enough now to suspect there might be a lek somewhere close this spring. A few years ago I had to go quite a bit further to see black grouse; they're definitely spreading.

Wotta fine set of obs Derby! I've never ever seen a Black Grouse in nearly sixty years of birding. My only local Little Egrets (last year) were only 400 metres away from my back garden! Thought I'd count the Blackbirds along a two mile trail this morning..17 and 7 Robins. One Bullfinch, two Goosander.

I love the fact that folk on here have their local "specials" but we all love bullfinch, LTT, robins, woodpeckers, dunnock etc etc

Blackbirds are going crazy for the windfall apples we put out for them.
I'm struggling to keep up with replenishing the bird food.

Saw a goldcrest 50 yards from my house, travelling from garden to garden. Not seen one in that area before.
