Heron on the river and a gorgeous nuthatch skimming up and down the trees outside our window.

I looked up and saw an eagle this morning, not sure I've seen one here in January before. (I'm in Austria)

Went to count in the little egret into their roost at dusk last night (8) and was treated to fab views of a very confiding water rail. Back today with a camera, but too many dogs about so only the briefest glimpse. Pair of grey wags & a perching kingfisher, though.
Lots of noise as I ran underneath a rookery this morning, but couldn't spot any nest building.

Never seen an eagle! (I see that Eddie "the Eagle" has been sacked from C4!) Coal Tits singing in the garden.

Nice male bullfinch on my Saturday run. All puffed up to protect form the cold. Lovely colours on a bright winter's morning.

Last night walked dogs through the park. Drizzly but very mild. A bat flew round us twice. I have never seen one in January before! Round here (Co Antrim) I'm not sure I've ever seen one in April!

Loads of wildlife in my back garden this morning. At least 5 LTTs, loads of chaffinches, goldfinches, blue tits, great tits, a nuthatch (who is preferring seeds to nuts lately), a GSW, robin, dunnock, blackbirds, starlings, woodpigeons, magpies and a crow. And a couple of rabbits.
