99% certain Ringtail over Ogden today after Giant's Tooth fell race. The crows were not happy to have it around! Not a bad start to the year

Excellent, flanker!
After my winter thrush lament yesterday, I was delighted today to come across a field with 100+ fieldfares in it, plus a lot of redwing as well. Then shortly afterwards, big skeins of pink-footed geese came honking over. What winter is all about.

I have now subscribed to Rare Bird Alert, so that with a bit of luck I should now be able to turn up at places where waxwings were only an hour or so earlier, rather than a whole day.

Noticed a lot of bird song both yesterday morning (I was earlier to work for once) and again this morning when I was usual time. And a bit last night.
Spring already springing?

I heard a robin after midnight today whilst taking the dog for her bedtime walk.
