Do Magpies ever emigrate? I wish they would from my garden or at least be less squawky

Plenty of geese going over, afraid my geese identification is not that good. Greylag and Canadian geese are the usual culprits though.
Still keeping my eyes peeled for curlew in the field amongst the gulls, none so far. Did spot a couple of little egret and a heron in the field today though

Really cross jay today, couldn’t work out what the noise was until it flew across the path in front of me.

Rosehip, yes, jays are very vocal this time of year. There's a constant raucous squawking in my garden at the moment coming from jays and squirrels, with chattering magpies often in the mix as well.

Still a regular singing Chiffchaff here. Out on my run this morning a Sparrowhawk killed a male Great Spotted Woodpecker but left it on the trail, probably because I disturbed it.

I’ve not heard chiffchaff again for last few days. We were lucky to get sighting of a barn owl on last night’s headtorch run
