Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Spotted woodies on the green today :) - I've heard them knocking in the woodland, so I knew they were around but today there was one pecking away in the grass and another on the trunk of a nearby tree. I will take bins and camera to have a good look at that tree at some point when I haven't got the dog with me.

All four of the blackbird chicks have now flown the nest. I’m being reassured that at least one of them is still around from the alarm calls coming from the parents in the hawthorn tree when there’s a cat in the garden!

I saw the first great tit for a little while this morning, sharing the fat ball feeder with a blue tit.

We don't get Great Tits in our garden. I'm quite surprised, I don't think we've ever had one.

I’d think great tit and goldfinch are in top five here. I might have seen three coalies and the odd LTT in the garden

Hi, I've been watching the robins in our garden and yesterday I managed to get a decent pic of a new fledgling getting his breakfast. Really happy with this so I thought I'd show it off! :)

My great tit family fledged this morning. One of the young nearly flew into me by our back door. They’ve made it to the neighbours’ hedge. I’ve had a wonderful fortnight or so watching the parents come and go. They’ve had quite a bit of our food too
