Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

They breed on the moors all around here, circa 400 metres above sea-level and on flat ground. Super birds

There was a young blackbird on the fat ball feeder this morning.
He’s obviously not been told that blackbirds aren’t supposed to do that!

The young blackbirds have been on mine too - they watched the starlings and copied them, I think.
The the jackdaws started on it and knocked it off its hook

Flanker managed to get some great golden plover pics by using his phone through his binoculars last week - stunning little birds heart We also had the curlews so close you could see their beaks going - wondering if you did the same walk DT!

We were walking from the Top of the Stairs following the watershed ( between you lot over there, and us lot over here :-) ) out to the Stoop and beyond to Top Withins; it’s part of the Wadsworth Trog route when we saw the plover. The curlew were near Harbour hill

We’ve seen folk digiscoping with telescope and digital camera and have done ourselves but haven’t thought of doing it with bins

Fab Golden Plover obs .
It's hard to believe that I've only seen Swifts twice, not seen or heard House Martin or Swallow!
