The nest of wrens in my shed has now fledged and they have stopped flying round and round the shed, cheeping. Hope they are all safe.

The nest was a converted swallow nest, that has been converted, with moss, mostly, every year, but never used. All of the eggs seem to have hatched.

Fragile Do Not Bend
The only thing I’ve found that works against squirrels is to get a feeder that is in a metal cage. Bloody thing eventually chewed right through the lid of the plastic dustbin I kept the bird food in, so I had to buy a metal one.

Spent an hour in the garden (planting out seedlings) in the company of some very friendly robins who were helping themselves to all the bugs I was making available in the process :-)

I have some sad news, I saw something on the front lawn the other day and on closer inspection realised it was a little hoglet who had perished. A bit later I lifted some leaves near where it was and found 2 more and it looks like I must have got them all with the lawn mower. :( I've only ever had hedgehogs passing through my garden until now so was really surprised they were there, especially in that place. A few days later I was at the bottom of the back garden and nearly trod on an adult hedgehog which must have been resting. I checked later and he/she'd moved on.
