Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I didn’t know there was an Amazing Maurice film and haven’t seen Going Postal.

I’d love to see a great version of Nation, which I feel gets overlooked. It would make a great animated film.

You're absolutely right about the special effects being better in the books, Scribbs.

There was a radio play of one of the watch books and for some damn fool reason they have Carrots Llamedos accent 🤬

I refused to watch ‘The Watch’ as I’m already sad at losing my brain’s version of LOTR after watching the films, so I wouldn’t touch The Watch as I don’t want someone else’s ideas of the characters’ voices or whatever in my head.

We did a play version of MORT when we were in 6th form 😀 It was great fun 😀

I feel like some terrible person for my opinion of LOTR and the Hobbit. But they just weren't right! Who the hell is Radagast? And what happened to Tom Bombadil?

I loved the LOTR movies, the hobbit movies were tripe. Tom Bombadil wasn't included in the movies, very sensibly, as JRRT was obviously off his head when he wrote that bit 😅

On Mondays club run, someone was very pleased because their husband had worked out a Pratchett joke. However, she couldn't remember it, just that it had something to do with a kayak.
I worked it out after a minute or two. Anyone else fancy a guess?
