I think last time I was on Wansfell I fell through a small snow bank/cornice and ended up about 6 foot below where I thought I should be ![]() |

I've found a webcam in Braithwaite which is showing me how quiet the campsite we're going to tomorrow is - as well as a number of people stood on Barrow fernhowe.co.uk Trying to decide if dragging Husband up Grisedale Pike this week will be a walk to far... |

Two questions coming up ... First question: how many trig points are there in the Lake District National Park? I think I could work this out from the trigpointing.uk database, but perhaps there's someone out there who knows the answer already! Second question: which one is this? Photo taken in 2001 and, judging by the photos in the same wallet, it should be on a route to Great Gable from Honister Pass, but I don't think that's possible? |

I've just started to scan a load of old photos and unfortunately the skyline and background on the original photo really are no clearer than in the above image.

Synge - it wuldn't tke too long to count from TPds Fetch's points. Green triangles with black dots, I think. Here's a sample, but 4 or 5 similar screens should cover it? |

Because of the sharp bumpiness of the Lakes there are relatively few trigs. However the Peak District is a completely different kettle of fish.
