It’s £20. But by the time we leave it’ll be the best part of 24 hours we’ve been here. Parkrun next door and we walked from here earlier.

I was gonna mention that I thought the climb to Wansfell Pike was steep but I thought I might be being soft 😂.

There’s a board in the Force cafe with an ascent challenge. The times looked incredible to me!

The owner of Force was 2nd in the Lakeland 100 this year and within the old record time. His names probably up there.

I did the Wansfell Pike climb (some years ago, he's now 34) with a child on my shoulders.
That was good for thigh strengthening.

It is steep, but over quickly. I like the route that goes round the back on the track to Troutbeck, then take a route up Nanny Lane/Hundreds Road and aim for Baystones (the Wainwright). Once at Baystones do the track over the summit plateau to Wansfell Pike, then head down.

I did it in February this year and ended up on my arse once as it was wet and slippy in the grassy sections.

I did Wansfell from the Low Wood Bay hotel. It was rather nice to head back through the gate into the grounds, shower and head to breakfast 😋
