Windsor Wool Jun 2021 5:48pm, 6 Jun 2021 5,171 posts	0 Windsor Wool FS, last time I visited Keswick I enjoyed running out to the west on the lanes between Swinside / Stair / Braithwaite. All on roads but very quiet and a little lumpy if the scenery doesn’t hold your interest. It’s easy to plot a decent loop out there. I also liked running out east on Brundholme rd, coming back by Burns / Eleven Trees. That takes you back via the Stone Circle on some more quiet roads. I did try and run on the paths round Derwentwater one day. That was no issue in road shoes until the flood water reached mid calf and I had to turn back!!

Dave A Jun 2021 9:36pm, 6 Jun 2021 23,043 posts	0 Dave A RH, the route of the marathon, apart from Tarn Howes isn’t that much of a honey pot. Both times I’ve done it it’s been fairly quiet in terms of numbers. Probably helps make it a good route.
