For the second Slight Side, Dave meant Sca Fell 👍

🤣🤣🤣 the route than we had originally planned Dave reckoned on about 10 miles.... we’d done nearly 5 by the time we got to Slight Side and turned back.... So I think, Flanker, if we had carried on to Sca Fell it may have had potential to be a Dave 4 mile route 🤣🤪

It really has been a lovely weekend in the Lakes, I echo what Dave and phal have said. I've been lurking in Ennerdale for the most part, did a nice circuit yesterday from Swarth Fell that bagged Lank Rigg, Crag Fell and Grike and today did a circuit that crossed the valley, starting with Caw Fell and finishing on Great Bourne. Truly glorious

Sounds like you’ve had a cracking weekend NE. It has been glorious up here. Spent the morning up Whinlatter mainly keeping away from people.

Early yesterday was certainly a stunning day in the Lakes. One of those days when the pain of a 2am alarm call melted away as dawn broke on the Helvellyn ridge. But don't despair one of the most glorious weekends I've spent in the Lakes was at the beginning of December last year. So lots of potential still to get out and play 😀

I think one of the most glorious weekends I spent was in February last yr (or was it the yr before) - still jealous though, no plans or expectations of a visit soon

I’ll never forget looking over toward St Sunday’s Crag on the way up Seat Sandal around 3am on the first BG leg two support I did and seeing the first signs of the sunrise starting. I pointed it out to Ian Charters who was navigating. There’s something really special about that ridge ff
