I didn't have a clue what it was, but I turned it on, because it sounded like it might be something that would enhance the accuracy. But no. What I've just figured out (because frustration) is that GLONASS is just a Russian GPS system. It apparently has better accuracy at extreme latitudes, but otherwise, GPS is better. So I've figured out that if I turn it off, I might be less likely to have a trace that goes all over the place. Hopefully.

The inter web led me to believe GLONASS was the best option for now. I'm interested to know if I should just stick with GPS.....

In other areas, it is typically best to leave GLONASS disabled. With GLONASS enabled, your watch consumes more battery life." I'll give it a try like this. My data was all over the place this morning in the wooded area of my run.
