That sounds like a nightmare Rosehip! I count our blessings that we’ve only one authority and he’s not (hopefully) in end of life care.

Had to pop over to my parents at 11pm last night to pick my dad up off the floor . This is happening every couple of months when his knees give way - often when manoeuvring himself from Zimmer to washbasin or toilet in the bathroom. At 92 he is thoroughly fed up of life and his physical frailty, and mum at 96 is exhausted by her concern for him

That's very hard TR. Have the falls team been out to see him?

I feel for you TR - that is so tough, both the physical risks and their exhaustion.

LMH - I'm not sure: certainly his gp has been involved and it was followed up last year when he was in hospital for a few days with heart issues. I'll ask the question. Both mum and dad are mentally fully with it, so I've tended to take a watching brief and be led by them rather than getting involved in the detail myself

They may not know what help is available though TR or believe that they won’t qualify or that the involvement of services will lead to consequences they don’t want.
