My first year was in edinburgh and included the brutal last 6 back up from Porty - that was an awful day - heatwave that day also. I believe that one year around 2003/4 they actually went around arthurs seat....

Well, after a very scary week I am in Edinburgh and raring to go. I was helping on a school trip to York this week and on Tuesday morning woke up with immense pain in my tendon. There was o way I could not walk so I spent three days hobbling around York courtesy of my good friend Deep Heat. On Thursday I had decided a marathon just wasn't an option this weekend, but yesterday I woke up to find that the pain had reduced to simply an irritation. It is now at a point where it will not stop me running.

I will be wearing a Get Kids Going Vest, a yellow bandana (stop the sweat rolling down my face). Race Number 9166.

Won' be at pre-race meal or post race drinks because I am with my daughter who is at Uni here.

the rentboy the forecast says very cool compared to the rest of the UK so i guess no one up there is that fussed for tomorrow?

Just wondered if anyone else was doing Edinburgh Marathon next year? My second time (did it in 2008.

***PRE RACE MEAL DETAILS***

Saturday 26th May - 6pm - Vittoria's, George IV Bridge - Table booked under the name of Fetch

Organiser/Person to bother with questions/(Almost) Birthday Girl: McNewbie

Upstairs in "The Wash Bar" 11 - 13 North Bank Street, The Mound, Edinburgh. Room available from 15.00 'til close, so arrive whenever you are ready.

Ideally located for Waverley Railway Station, and for the tourists (me!) Edinburgh Castle! Come and take the weight off your feet, meet new and old Fetchies, get something to eat and rehydrate.
