Good for you WA - I hope all works out well for you - it did for Mr AL when he was in your position, in fact he's never really looked back. I've had a relaxing hot bath this evening - which isn't much of a newt but I don't usually do so on a weekday! It felt like a real treat as the heating was also on, so the bathroom was lovely and warm and I had lots of bubbles!!

Well, I've just started the biggest new thing for me in 30 years since I started working. I have become a volunteer tutor for kids behind in their Maths. Two sessions done so far and I can say it is a stretch! But it's definitely challenging me and as long as I am helping my pupil, then all is good. G

Nice one Happy! I loved tutoring, teaching English kids their own language!!! It is appalling how many have been through the school system, yet don't know how to read or write! Same is true for Maths. Highly satisfying to see them move on with confidence.

I thought Wind Assisted couldn't be bettered, such a decisive life a changing move quitting her job for, as yet, pastures unknown. AND she tried glass blowing a few days earlier. But I have every faith that Wind Assisted will be back with many more fabulous exploits so I am awarding the first Newt of the Day to HappyG.
Happy G. please pop in sometime tomorrow to pick your favourite Newt from the previous posts.

I have changed the rules slightly, I think it makes Newt of the Day easier and fairer.
The Picked Person can choose ANY newt already posted. It doesn't have to be from the previous 24 hours (which was always bit loose anyway) Some days it can be SO hard to choose.
And a reminder it's kind of nice if you can say why the NotD appeals to you.
Happy G is bringing a new skill to other people.
