Bouldering was quite fun, though after only five or so climbs my arms were reduced to useless noodles.

Shall have to try again in a few months after one done a lot more LTUAPTBDA.

I meant to say, there's a fair bit of leg strength involved too.

Saw croci/crocuses today. And lots of daffs. And went over a bridge I've never used before. And this week I started watching The West Wing. OH has watched it twice, but I've only seen odd episodes.

I ran a local XC race today which is an almost newt as I haven't run any XC for the last two years. But a real newt is that I ran in a borrowed pair of shoes. I have never borrowed someones shoes to run in a race before and I have never worn this particular type of shoe either. Sadly I'm not sure exactly what shoes they were. Something like inov8 Mudclaw but possibly a different brand.

Agreed Linds. If you are relying solely on upper body strength you’re doing it wrong. I have none so have to rely on my questionable technique and minimal core.

I’ve started watching The Boys as recommended by QP and my best pal. This weekend’s best newt though was QP choosing to spend time with me and best pal who was visiting. We had a lovely evening playing Labyrinth.

Oh, I was definitely mostly using my legs!
My upper body strength is laughable by comparison, though, and once it goes I'm weak as a kitten.

Planted a hydrangea earlier today. It's been sitting in a pot waiting to be planted for way over a year. God knows how it's still alive, and I figured I'd reward it for sheer persistence by giving it a permanent home behind the bathroom :)

Newt blossom on these trees in Brandon Country Park from my weekend race! Does anyone know what kind of trees they are?

About This Thread

Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
