At Cheltenham races for first time in years Not necessarily my idea of a fun day out but I have my knitting which I've not been able to do since getting cats!

Thankfully, an uneventful, restful day here. Many little Newts: My BIL has had a knee replacement on Monday 😱 I have not been with my sister on her birthday for 30 odd years. I had birthday cake. Not had birthday cake for many many years. I have the first chocolate Easter egglets of this year. I bought 3 newt items of clothing, dirt cheap, from my sister's fashion designer friend. After years of being dry, the fenns behind my sister's house have Newtly filled with water.

Sodastream. Does it still count as a NewT if I had one 40 years ago in 1982? Actually, that was my Mum's. This is def new to me!
I was buying 6 x 330ml bottles of fizzy water at least once and sometimes more per week. That's a lot of plastic to throw away! So I got the Sodastream for £50 and now I can make my own fizzy water and no plastic bottles to throw away. It's a bit pricey, but think it was right thing to do! G

I did that in 2017, 😁G for the same reason.
My Newt is going on the ferry across the Mersey for the 1st time ever.

I think the Sodastream definitely counts, and is a good idea. All that plastic! All that BOUGHT water!
I never buy water- must have been MAD - all those bottles of Evian or whatever I purchased once upon a time. Seems so bonkers now. Just occasionally will buy fizzy water in a caff, but v rarely.

I love your ferry cross the Mersey, Gimme! Hope you burst into song...
altogether now: 'Cos this land's the place I love, and here I'll stay.'
(I had loads of Scouse cousins and used to stay with them in Birkenhead in my teens. My Great Auntie Bella was on the other side in Wavertree)
