Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have a newt today. Two, in fact. I'm working 10am-4pm instead of my usual backshift because I have a race tonight, and I went out for an early(ish) run this morning - 8am rather than my usual 10am. In my head I think my old bones can't run early, but this is really just preference. I manage fine on parkrun days and it was fine today too.

I hardly ever run in the morning any more. Except on Saturdays and Sundays! Well done V'rap! Good luck with race. Hann, sorry to hear of your experiences, sounds horrible. Not a desirable newt at all.

I'm not a morning runner - I do go at the weekends then of course, and most races are in the mornings - but noticeably my 5k and 5 mile PBs are from evening races.

Thanks 😊

It's a strange distance race - 6.1 miles. I have a time from 2019.

Good luck :-)

A genuine newt (finally!) My nephew (8) has taught me how to play chess this morning and I've played my first ever game. I lost :-)

My Newt was unexpected - went to Pilates and ended up in a taster session on the new V frame equipment. Lots of work on breath, spinal flexion and hip alignment. I quite enjoyed it, but not sure I'd switch from the usual reformer classes.

About This Thread

Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
