Oooh, which skort design, Rosehip? Are we twins? (Flanci skorts have been a bit of a lockdown retail therapy indulgence for me even though skorts seem to be an ultramarathoner thing and I'm very not an ultramarathoner.)
I went for a run, which isn't any sort of newt, but I saw a coalman delivering sacks of coal for the first time in as long as I can remember. It used to be a commonplace sight when I was younger because I lived in a colliery town and lots of the inhabitants had a lifelong entitlement to free coal, something that my mother found mildly troublesome when she was a home help organiser because the old folk wouldn't give up their coal fires due to the free coal and she had to factor in time for the home helps to clean, build, and light fires.

WHAT is the appeal of skorts? Just for something different? Aren't they just shorts with an annoying extra bit of flappy fabric on top?
Or is it that you've always (secretly) wanted to wear a miniskirt and here's an acceptable sporty(ish) substitute?

Looking forward to the blog Dio. I must do something similar. As referenced by McGoo yesterday one year I listened to the entire Top Twenty (unlike McGoo it took me two weeks to do so).
I think this year I will put Radio 3 on at dinnertime rather than automatically heading for the World at One (which drives Raffo a bit mad). Will start tomorrow.
