Other newts was to finish knitting a cardigan that I started possibly 3+ years ago. I am very impressed with newts posted today but highlight for me was Hanneke’s orange 🍊

Here are some of the ones I loved although I did briefly consider disqualifying anyone who said they hated porridge and only choosing from those who said they loved it Eynsham Red's litter pick JEB's new running pal jda's race win (who doesn't love a race win) WA nearly made it onto the short list but in the end I decided browsing courses isn't quite a newt - signing up for one on the other hand.... However as so many people have already commented since the post, myself included, Hanneke's home grown orange is a fabulous newt and is thus the winner of yesterday's offerings and Hanneke gets to choose from today's newts

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
