Wow that is a lot of miles. I’m training for an ultra but still at circa 25-30m/week

Lovely newt today. My usual Sunday running partner is having knee issues so I ran with his wife for the first time. Very different pace to usual and so much more chatty. I loved every minute of it!

My newt today involved my first ever ‘tray bake’ meal, which sounds a lot simpler than it actually was, given you had to prep things in two other pans as well as the oven tray. But it was tasty enough.

My newt for today was to look for a blog by someone who I have never read before and to leave a comment, I chose Brunski, and was well rewarded with an interesting read on his amazing PB for a virtual marathon! Other newts was to finish knitting a cardigan that I started possibly 3+ years ago.

I am very impressed with newts posted today but highlight for me was Hanneke’s orange 🍊

What a day to be the choosinator as there are so many great newts....

Here are some of the ones I loved although I did briefly consider disqualifying anyone who said they hated porridge and only choosing from those who said they loved it ;-)

Eynsham Red's litter pick
JEB's new running pal
jda's race win (who doesn't love a race win)
WA nearly made it onto the short list but in the end I decided browsing courses isn't quite a newt - signing up for one on the other hand....

However as so many people have already commented since the post, myself included, Hanneke's home grown orange is a fabulous newt and is thus the winner of yesterday's offerings and Hanneke gets to choose from today's newts

Great choice, Baroness :)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
