Today I'm wearing a summer dress!

A newt in itself for this year, but also a newt dress, which I got as a freebie when a brand I like (https://www.rocknromancevintage.com/ I'm not even going to apologise for sharing it, but they don't so sports kit so you're probably mostly safe) did a buy one, get a mystery second one free, offer at the end of last year. It's not something I would have chosen for myself but I actually really like it. And it has pockets.

The weather is set be back sub-teens tomorrow and for my week off, but never mind. It'll warm up again eventually.

It is really cold! Too cold for my fave jeans jacket I am wearing for the first time this year...

Boo hoo it IS cold ...but we will not be downhearted, just put another jumper on and move faster...

Boring newt - another year of England Athletics subs paid this morning. Can't compete without it.

A slightly delayed newt from yesterday but I'm so excited about it I'm telling anyone who will listen. First time back at running club for over 3 years! I loved it and it was like I've never been away. And I did my first ever Oregon session, everything aches today but it's a 'you worked bloody hard' kind of ache which is good. Also, first time running in my new Flanci shorts after getting well and truly drawn into the Unicorn thread.

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
