That is greatJEB. I can't remember what thread we were both on, but I do remember you as a pretty classy runner and it could easily be three or more years ago. Did those race times coincide with your club membership?

Anyway, welcome back to club world! star

Club dropped off due to a series of injuries, a couple of lots of foot surgery and then general life (mum taxi!) getting in the way. It's only the last year or so I've been running again, building up steadily, still a way off those race times but that's more likely age now! Felt so right being back, I hadn't realised how much I'd missed it.

And Hanneke, I'm very envious of your 2hr sleep, could do with that right now after last nights run.

I am taking my youngest two to the dentist for the first time. They've both been to the dentist regularly all their lives, but this has always been their mother's doing. I am in charge of this for the first time ever. It seems quite daunting, for some reason.

It is, dentists are fucking scary and it’ll be All Your Fault whatever the teeth issues are. Unless they only do that to mothers. Wouldn’t be surprised

I haven't bern to the dentist for well over a year... A filling broke last March, just at the beginning of all the restrictions. Tooth ache developed after a few months, followed by an abscess which has turned chronic. As in I get sort of rid of it, then it flates again. I need a root canal but all they are allowed to do is pull! So trying to save my tooth and at the same time not develop scepsis and die, like a friends patient :-o all from a broken filling!!!

Now pondering a drive into town... Was supposed to go to the market to buy nice food for the weekend this morning but didn't want to leave my friend alone. I have a washed out day, so may as well head to Waitrose, they have a fish counter, and buy some other nice things there.
Yes, that is on topic! I went to the shops on Sunday! Normally only go once every 6-8 weeks... I did buy a chocolate easter chicken but not much else, as I expected to buy nice bread, HXBs, fish etc this morning...

I'm doing Project Joker to improve my 5k time so this morning I created an interval workout and uploaded it to my Garmin and then did the interval session. I didn't quite get the timing right as I was a bit fast, but then realised afterwards that I'd calculated the required pace incorrectly so had been pretty much on pace after all :)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
