Today's NEWT winner is Hann, for taking something negative and turning it into a positive. It's horrible when someone is unpleasant and too easy to retaliate, so to deliberately do something positive in return is such a good attitude and something we can all learn from. Having friends from abroad back here is also a nice thing :)

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
