The only difference in my life will be having my parents round for a BBQ/pizza in the garden. I may stop at my cousins for a glass of fizz on my walk at the weekend but that will be a driveway stop as her garden is being landscaped.

His wife has stayed Stateside, because her dad has dementia and she was stuck here for 9 months last year not being allowed to travel while her dad kept asking for her... Good to see him and perfect timing... With my family in the Netherlands with even stricter rules, I am firmly stuck here on my own, but now 2 friends that live partly abroad are here, which is nice.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
