Reckon things should be only heading in one direction now...so long as we are not too reckless about it. This evening was such good weather too - really feels like spring is properly here now.

I saw three butterflies today two yellow ones that I didn't get a proper look at as I was in the car and a peacock (I think). And Wanda had a game of chase with a new canine friend which is a lovely newt although I didn't see it!

No interesting Newts from me today. I have been to tape up my friend's knee, that isn't new, but what is new is that I have measured her on her son's bike, it fits, and I have taken said bike home for some tlc, a new chain and then we can get her riding it. She was seriously brain injured a couple of years ago, falling with her horse. She is doing tremendously well and I have recently taken over her rehab to try and get to grips with the last remaining nerve conduction/proprioception issues. We are going to see if we can improve things by cycling and I shall be cycling with her I have also decoded to take tomorrow off working. It is supposed to be a glorious day so I shall be tidying up the greenhouse so I can sow seeds and pot on the tomato seedlings and generally just enjoy a leisurely day. I never really do that, taking a day off... when I do it is usually enforced by bad weather.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
