I got very excited a few minutes ago. A sparrow was sitting on the wall looking at my bird feeder - he was definitely considering it. He didn't quite pluck up the courage to visit it but maybe he will next time

I’m going out in a bit to see one of my best friends (even though I may have moaned about her on the Mundane thread last night...) for the first time in 5 months!
We’re going for a walk. Obvs.

If it was checking it out, it’ll be back soon, SarahWoo. Before you know it you’ll have a mob of them!

Morning Newters!
I have been on a site meeting early this morning and now sitting by the pond with my coffee and the weekend paper. It is warm enough to take my jumper off! Work us progressing really well: new estate fencing is up, gates are in, I went to instruct the guys laying the turf this morning, ordering the plants today, we are nearly done!

I am in shorts and a t-shirt and working with the french windows wide open. A bumble bee just came in for a look-see.

Love curlews. Very much a bird of childhood hikes across the moors south of Manchester.

I went for my run this morning instead of afternoon to beat the heat 😁 My dad came round for coffee and we sat in the garden for the first time this year. He really feels the cold these days. He wore his fleece and I am in skort and T-shirt. Mad Dog Jess wouldn’t leave his side for some reason ❤️

Two more butterflies for me this morning.
Yesterday was the first one so he counts in spite of being a Cabbage White, who usually prompts a cry of, 'Get off me crops you tiny fluttering bastard!'
Today I saw a sulphur yellow Brimstone and then a smallish brownish butterfly I couldn't identify. Possibly a Brown Argus but I think it's a bit early for them. I'm not that good on butterfly and moth identification.
