Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's useful to know JEB as I suspect I won't really like them but need to find out - I think I would have to think of it as a drink that has a slight tea flavour rather than a cup of tea which I expect to taste like tea. But tiramisu stout ....now I am fairly confident I would like that.... is it really a thing?

Lovely flowers
Nice newt Steve, I have never ordered a veg box, always worried it will have the “wrong” stuff, but actually anything is ok for soup!

I listened to the Duolingo French podcast which was an interview with a woman who has been doing the announcements on French trains for 50 years. It was a lot more interesting and made a lot more sense then the lessons on the Duolingo app. (‘Many men sacrifice’ - hmm, OK. That’ll be useful.)

I actually bought a pack of the toast and jam variety - I don’t even like toast and jam*, but it was the last one on the shelf and needed a home.
*I like toast (with marmite) and jam ( on a scone)

I don't really like toast and jam either but I do like toast and marmalade or toast just on its own so I am prepared to give it a go. Unless of course they do a toast and marmalade one and I just haven't discovered it yet!

Long story Newt

When I was teaching (I quit 3 years ago) I decided I was going to try and relax more and take my tea properly. Mum bought me the below.

I was too busy to use it :-( and so it went in the cupboard.

So today I decided to use it!

tea for 1

with new tea too

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
