Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I really really struggle with number 12, I cannot and will not eat veg, I don’t understand why people eat veg, it still tastes yucky to me!

Yes, all veg apart from potatoes, all salad, eggs, anything spicy, anything wet like soup or sauce, pasta, pizza and seafood we can blame my autistic sensitivities to texture and taste! I have survived pretty well on a diet of meat potatoes and cake! I’m healthier than most people I know who eat a ‘healthy’ diet!

I didn't realise this was an every day thing. I was thinking reverse Lent would be take up one thing over next 40 days. I am having a go at doing music mixing with some free software. Always wanted to do it. And with lots of home time in lockdown thought I might give it a go. Have downloaded software and uploaded one song to much about with. Fun fun! :-) G

As noted, Do a New Thing for Spring is whatever you want it to be -just as long as it's about taking up and noticing new things and NOT about giving up and self denial.

I will not be giving up my precious vegetables whatever Limegreenjelly says, but I'm glad she's happy and healthy with her food choices. We possibly now have the highest and lowest vegetable consumers in all Fetchdom on one thread.

Is notarace.

Lol GM at "asking for a thread"! :-O I am *not* The Masked Fetchie! He (she?) is talented. I am not.

Sharkster - thanks, sounds like I'm in! (Actually chess is a new thing that I'm learning every day in too, but we started that a few months ago. Well, Fetch started it. I just joined in.)

Top thinking - and it's very Spring like here today too. Mild (windy, but they, can't have everything). Snow drops are lovely. Mum says her crocuses are out too (haven't seen ours yet - but it's Scotland, everything is later up here!) :-) G

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
