I've got the LCW in May then the Challenge Almere half iron in September.

I'm still resolutely telling myself that I don't have any desire to run a whole marathon, particularly after cycling 180k or whatever it is.

Love the stitch markers, GM. I use scraps of wool knotted into loops. And I also have a colourful newt to photograph.

I took the dog for an earlier than usual walk today (minor newt) and saw a lady swimming in the river - I have never seen anyone swim there before (although there is fairly regular kayaking) and it must be something of a newt for the village because there were several (socially distanced) people standing on the bridge watching as well.

It stopped raining, so went to a client to prune roses. F#ck me it is cold! Have to get in the car to defrost with my flask every hour. Once the rose in hand is done, I am going home! This is torture!

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
