WA Mar 2021 7:30pm, 4 Mar 2021 8,430 posts	0 WA Had 2 things to do after work this evening- go for a walk and go to the shop (milk, bread etc) In a fit of newtiness I walked there and back instead of a walk, then a drive. Took SweetPea so she could hang onto Nell as I popped in. A good almost 5 mile walk, across the fields too, which was really lovely and peaceful in the dark. I've not walked to the shop since we moved here. I'll do it again, but probably with a backpack next time rather than a shopping bag.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
