Good luck for tomorrow. Just remember that, whilst it will hurt at times, you will meet some interesting, inspirational and frankly bonkers people, you'll experience an atmosphere like no other and you will know when you cross that line that you achieved something special.

Soak it all up, enjoy every minute and savour that beer at the finish :)

Thanks HP. I've just worked out that I will (hopefully) complete my 297th mile of D33s tomorrow. That is slightly bonkers for a woman who loves hills and trail. I blame Loon Dod, and Annette's medals. I think getting the medal is the best bit, but I love the chat along the way. I'm all set, looking forward to seeing lots of friends tomorrow and meeting new folk like 12barDavid.

Miserable day out there, lots of people suffering. I had to rescue a cold pukey runner. Well done to everyone and the volunteers too!!

Well done everyone who raced and extra well done to the marshals and everyone helping, that rivalled the sleety year in unpleasant weather. Good on you M_N for helping that runner, there were quite a few with hypothermia, including RWR and shanksi who DNFd. I enjoyed running with JRitchie (briefly cos I couldn't keep up with his pace), RWR, and M1nty. I was not feeling the love after about 10 miles so I stopped to chat at halfway and waited on M1nty to arrive then ran/walked the whole second half with him. It was a much better second half for me than normal because of that. But the amount of times I said to him "Can you see that bench? Let's run to it" probably made him want to slap me.

We also saw a guy from the race waiting at the bus stop cos he had had enough.

Very nice to meet 12barDavid before the race. What did you think of it?

Now for a chip shop tea and the Station afterparty!
