On the pitch maybe, but the tea would stand no chance! And re-stock the bar for afterwards

I think that's what I dreamed about mainly. Tea and the bar.

Be warned, I would play a ramp shot!. Regardless of the match situation, speed of bowler, position of fielders, and availability of helmets. I'd just play it. Maybe not first ball, but I wouldn't be able to help myself. Just like when I played a reverse sweep in a League match for Belper Meadows back in 1994, it went to the boundary but I didn't get picked the following week. Short sighted Derbyshire bastards.

I've got my Owzat still, we could play on-line, drink tea and then go down our respective locals.

I might ask for an Owzat for Christmas, it'll make a change from pants.

As for a real game. I would bowl dibby dobblers, try an occasional leggie.
Drop catches. Score slower than Boycs.
Umpire. I don't mind umping.

Sussex 206/9.
Essex 52/3
We should be promoted by mid afternoon in spite of our best efforts to blow it.

Going to be interesting for the remaining relegation spot from div 1.
Looks to me like the 4 contenders (Warwickshire, Lancashire, Hampshire, Durham) play each other in the final game next week. It will no doubt rain.
