Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I see Dr K nailed it with Hameed....

What are the odds on Essex doing a Leicester, 5001-1?

Has anyone had a whiff of what these eight T20 cities are?

I had a stab in a meeting just now:

Probable

LONDON (Middlesex / Surrey)
NOTTINGHAM (Notts)
LEEDS (Yorkshire)
MANCHESTER (Lancashire)
BIRMINGHAM (Warwickshire)

Likely

BRISTOL (Somerset)

Who knows? Any two from (in order of my perceived likelihood)

CARDIFF (Glamorgan)
DURHAM (Durham)
CHELMSFORD (Essex)
BRIGHTON (Sussex)
SOUTHAMPTON (Hants)
CANTERBURY (Kent)

Bristol is Gloucestershire...

I'd guess Durham, Cardiff, Southampton as they have international grounds.

Bonkers why Essex didn't vote against, or Northants or Worcs. Won't this severely dent the revenue?

Sorry - always get Bristol wrong.

There was a thing either in the Times or on Cricinfo about which counties actually sell all/most of their seats for T20.

Think Essex had 89% behind only Middlesex and Surrey? Think that's right anyway.

It'll be a disaster for Essex, I fear. And buggered if I'm going to 'support' a London franchise.

This is an interesting guess (from a post on EssexOutfielder):

Oval, Stratford, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Southampton, Cardiff

Essex seems to pretty much sell out. Tried to get tickets for a T20 at the last minute and none left. From seeing the Sky broadcasts from Chelmsford, the crowd is pretty raucous too - like one of those little stadia the big football teams hate because they know they're going to get it in the neck all the way through.
