I had a cracking day at the cricket today. Jolly you say? It's networking :) all sorts of trouble at 110-5. Ali, Bairstow and Woakes plus sum generous fielding kept us in the game. Nice late wicket didn't hurt.

Couldn't believe the slow over rate. Huge run ups but it never felt like they were going slowly. Not sure where the time evaporated.

reviews must take about 20 minutes (or 3 overs at the present rate) out of each day. Drink intervals, telling Anderson off for treading on the pitch, substitutions, injuries being mended, extra gloves, changing bat, changing ball, ladies lost in the sightscreen, umpires finishing early and starting late.......

The drinks break dragged a little and new batsman did take their sweet time. Very entertaining day.

England's loss is Yorkshire's gain - Rashid 4 for 26 off his 3ovs to bowl Glamorgan out and take us through to the finals day.

That was a superb day, topped off by a late wicket. Root, Cook, Ali, Woakes and Bairstow looked solid with bat in hand. Vince didn't last long and Ballance never looks comfortable.

Hales also looked good until I went for a wee.

The trouble is, if you fiddle with the order too much it won't work. Moeen at 5 is too high, so perhaps it is Bairstow 5, Stokes 6, Moeen 7. I'd have a bet that Moeen will be more consistent than Stokes over time...

you can get Rashid in then too...

Having said that Wriggler, having Hales, VInce and Ballance up top means that Bairstow, Stokes, Ali are effectively batting at 4, 5 and 6.

Dropping all 3 is probably too much but who deserves to stay? Can't see them dropping more than 1 of them though - I'd probably punt Ballance who is on his second chance anyway.

I don't think watching is going to be the same today.
