When they were on form they were a far better team. Hopefully Batliss and co are looking at 5 years down their with the next few team selections and not just filling in cracks as they go along. Maybe county cricket needs to look at how it can breed test players so that there is competition for places.

What about the pitches that are prepared?Maybe even length of the games up to 5 days? It's all well us thrashing a Todd one day/T20 side like NZ around, but we need players who can play test cricket for 5 days and perform consistently to a World Class standard.
