I think the comments were meant as a joke. There is no way you could do that. No thanks we won't bat you have another go and then you lose. The only thing to be gained would be the psychological blow for the Aussies, but I think they are feeling pretty down on their luck already.

Immediate declaration and go at them again would be ridiculous, and stupid so tongue in cheek. Pitch should flatten, sun has come out so batting will be easier. Logic says get as big a lead as possible, then go at them with scorebaord pressure 2nd innings.
This may be one of those odd occasions when we did bow them out TOO quick.....if they'd have hung around until say mid afternoon then batting would be easier. Let's see how our top order go...
