Crash Hamster
We'll bat until we're all out; there's so much time, it'd be pointless to do anything else :)

57.5 Degrees of Pain
As someone who manages to avoid the score until watching the highlight show (made easier by living in the north of Scotland) I rather suspected something special was going on when I saw the thread had 120+ messages. Enjoyed watching it all unfold!

Yeah I mean we will be bowled out tomorrow.

Didn't see this after the tour of the West Indies.

We have been good, particularly with the ball. Australia have been dreadful!

I will never tire of days like this. We've had too many thumpings by them in the past ingrained in my memory for that to happen.

I can't see us declaring any time soon tomorrow, maybe with an hour to go if the innings lasts that long and a lead of 500 plus.

Depends how it goes. I can imagine a declaration that spares Broad from batting, as it goes. Keep him fresh for bowling when he has the Australians running scared, and don't let their quicks bowl at him when he's still nervous about facing after that gruesome injury. I dare say he'd handle it fine, but I think tactically we need him to keep looking scary rather than looking fragile.

No sympathy

Pay back for 13-14 as well as the long period from 87-2005

So much sweeter given Stuart Broad is one of the most hated players by the Aussies

I think we all remember the thumping at the hands of Oz, plus most other test teams. So it's nice to enjoy the occasional reversal. And maybe do some work with the batting order.

I can see Bell retiring after this series, so there's a start.

Yep, time to sear this test match onto a generation of Australians. Root to go on and make a daddy and let the biffers create some carnage at the other end. If we can get the first hour done, we really do have some firepower.

Warner as 5th bowler, fucking amateurs.

Disagree on Broad, let him come out and have a swish with the bat. He seemed to be getting over the injury in the last couple of games, so more time in the middle will help.
