it's his own fault - if he hadn't published his book slagging everyone off, then maybe there'd have been a route back.

can't pick him after that, no matter how many runs he scores against the team without a win in the past 2 years.

re: broad - tms view was that by 3rd test he was ok. he also took wickets, unlike stokes and Jordan.

if dizzy gets the job, the England team might well be 10 yorkshiremen plus Anderson.

Agree with Fozzical re Broad. Military medium trundling in the first test, but got a bit more nip as the series went on - and thus worth persevering with.

Liking Strauss' work so far, but biggest concern is that he'll be too close to his buddy and former opening partner Cook. That might be awkward when the new Coach is inserted in a role between the 2. Still, the Pecker is gone so we're already up on the deal even if this proves problematic (which it may not).

The incompetence of our team over the last 18 months has made us more than ready for a hefty home defeat....

No chance. He will not get picked TB.

Have a list to the latest tms podcast - I agree completely with Simon Hughes' verdict. Which, in itself is a first

I just wonder what the reaction will be should England start off with a shocker against NZ and Aus...

Not saying he is the messiah, just a naughty boy...

Johnny Bairstow? (century in current game and opportunities limited by WI tests)
Alex Hales? (2x 100s, 1x50?)
James Taylor?
James Hildreth?

Excepting his 355* against the worst county in the country on a very flat Oval pitch, KP has scored: 32, 8, 19 and 53* in his other innings this season. Not exactly pressing Joe Root who's averaging 90+ in his last 10 tests, or Ballance who has a test average of 60+....

Add in that the guy is a complete dick, who only thinks of himself. Having played in and captained teams with that type of person, they're better off without him.

Look to the future, not the past.
