IIRC Graham Gooch played in April at Chelmsford in a match with Essex going way back and the umpires halted play due to the cold temperature. I think it was and/or had been snowing. Maybe even snow on the wicket back in the uncovered days?

England v W. Indies in a test at Headingley in May2007 got down to 7C - that's the coldest I can find on google, but nothing for a ODI.

It's that time of year when there's no chance that the umpires and pitch inspectors are likely to query the result. Essex batting well against my lads. The only chance of a result is if Surrey (1st innings) and Essex (2nd innings) are forfeited.
