Broad is batting with the same courage Phil Tufnell used to show. Worse than useless now, which is a shame given the vital runs he's scored for us over the years

Yes, he seems a sensible chap. A good cricketer, has a good idea of the modern game. I am not sure it will help just now, team has a few holes in it. I think, as well as Ali has played on occasion, the Aussies will tear his bowling apart. I alsothink we obviously have aproblem with the opener, I suppose it is Lyth, but let's say he gets a few good balls against NZ. We will have to keep him (or whoever), off the back of 2 tests worth of experience. Bell looks out of sorts now, but should keep his place, the rest is of the batting is fine.
I suppose we have to go with Anderson and Broad, who after that, Stokes, he's not done that well, Jordan, ditto, but he can catch, Wood, Plunkett. Treadwell, I think e have a chnace with out batting. COok, Balance, Root,, Bell, Buttler, could be ok. I think out bowling could get absolutely tonked.

Too Much Water
Stop playing bowlers who can bat and catch and start playing bowlers who can bowl. Give Buttler a chance to play the Gilchrist role by playing him further up the order. Replacing Swann is clearly going to be a repeat of the replacing Botham saga. Geoffrey is right as always - express pace and decent spin. England picked a team to play in English conditions.
