Yes, England field an unchanged team for the third test! Why did we bother to take such a large squad and worse from Yorkshires point of view as they have suffered the most from this? Moores will again go for a conservative game and if we do happen to win will have cemented his place for the rest of the summer! God help us against the Aussies!

Missed opportunity not playing Adam Lyth.
Lancs off to a flyer, albeit in Division 2, under Ashley Giles.

3 ducks in 5 innings in tests on this tour.
He wasnt an opener even when he was on top of his game. Utterly inexplicable on every level. A decision that has has probably ruined 2 batsmen: Trott will have no chance to re-emerging as an International cricketer now, and Lyth probably wonders why he fucking bothered, having spent the last 6 weeks carrying drinks about.

Trott's a goner. But we knew this a year ago when he couldn't hack the pressure-cooker environment down under.

So we'll need to throw another new opener in with a fired up Boult and Southee coming hard at him, having ignored the signs that Trott was a gonner until too late on this tour and missed the opportunity out here. Good thinking Pecker. FFS...

I feel sorry for Trott however I suppose if you were given a chance to get back in as opener rather than no 3 you would take a chance on it. Sadly though it hasn't worked out for him at all and on the evidence of last year there are more suitable candidates. Past records count for nothing, it's what your like now that's important. There is no way you can put him in against New Zealand and certainly Australia
