Yes he did well. Hopefully he carries his confidence through to the English summer. Perhaps a break from pyjama cricket is in order for him.

Trot has been poorly done by. He should never have gone to the WI. This is not hindsight, said it early on. Boycott was saying it before they went. WI fail again to capitalise on a great start. If England was in that position playing SA India Auz, or NZ what chance would they have had?

Trott's Test career should never have been resurrected; it won't be again. Lyth should've been given these three games to settle in; it'll be difficult against NZ early season, then it'll be difficult vs' the convicts in The Thrashes...

The question had to be asked about Trott, he deserved a final chance after what he did in the past. Now we know now.
I agree with you CH, Lyth is the next in line. I wouldn't fancy facing Southee and Boult in late May with usual English conditions though!
